The University Medical Complex (UMC) Karachi is envisioned as a modern center of excellence designed to transform healthcare in Pakistan. The campus will integrate advanced medical services, academic programs, and research facilities while providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to local and international communities.
UMC Karachi is planned as a comprehensive medical and educational complex with specialized hospital departments, patient care units, teaching spaces, research centers, modern medical equipment, and dedicated learning environments.

Following the construction commencement ceremony, IMI Pakistan organized a dedicated Philanthropic Drive at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi, bringing together donors, healthcare professionals, scholars, and community leaders.
Multiple gala dinners, fundraising evenings, awareness campaigns, and community events have also been organized across Karachi, Lahore, the United States, and IMI chapters worldwide.
Construction officially commenced in January 2026. Ground preparation and shoring work along two boundary walls have already progressed.
