It is with great sadness that we remember the passing of Dr. Syed Sikandar Madad, son of Syed Yawar Madad, who passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the age of 77.
Dr. Madad was a key community stalwart, a dedicated physician, a committed supporter of Imamia Medics International, and a selfless leader whose service to IMI and the broader community will be remembered for years to come.
May Allah grant His choicest blessings to the departed soul through the waseela of the Ahlulbayt (AS), elevate his station in Jannah in the Jawar of Ahlulbayt (AS), and grant patience to the family and loved ones of Dr. Madad.
Dr. Sikandar Madad completed his F.Sc. at the University of Punjab in 1961 and earned his medical degree from Nishtar Medical College in 1970. He later practiced as a urologist in New York until his retirement a few years before his passing.
Alongside his professional work as a physician, Dr. Madad devoted himself to service. He strove to ensure that others could succeed through his involvement in Anjuman-e-Wazifa Sadaat-o-Momineen and Imamia Medics International.

Dr. Madad was an incredible force within the IMI family. He was a key supporter and donor of IMI and its causes, and his tremendous services to IMI will be remembered with deep gratitude and respect.
The Dr. Syed Sikandar Madad Memorial Fund honors his life of service by supporting the causes he cared about deeply: healthcare, education, community service, professional development, and IMI’s mission to serve humanity.

Dr. Madad is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dr. Saiyeda Madad; his son, Ali Madad; his daughters, Dr. Shirin Kao and Asma Madad; five grandchildren; and innumerable other family members and friends.
