IMI conducts international lectures, workshops and practical hands on trainings internationally to promote professional exchanges, capacity building, and knowledge sharing amongst junior and senior colleagues and international health systems. A wide range of topics are covered based on the needs of the locality. For instance, much work has been completed in Iraq with respect to GI, ENT, and Radiology with a particular emphasis on the exchange of ideas, teaching and transferring newer technologies and techniques to Iraqi colleagues. On the other hand, trainings in Tanzania held thus far have included diagnostic and interventional radiology, kinesiology and nutrition, as well as culture and communication in healthcare. In addition, regular Basic Life Support /Advance Cardiac Support classes are held for health professionals, police officers, customs officials, IMI relief delegates and interested members.
