Dr. Barkat Jaferi serving humanity & leading IMI's rst delegation to Tanzania in 2013. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share this sad news: we have lost IMI's 5th Global President, Dr. Barkat Jaferi who breathed his last at University of Pennsylvania Hospital this morning. In him, IMI has lost a key Stalwart, and, the community a selfless leader and dedicated soldier of Imam e Zamana ATFS.
Dr. Barkat Jaferi was a selfless soul, a role model, mentor, community leader and an excellent physician whose tremendous services for the New Jersey community and the Global Medical Community shall be remembered for long. Committed to serving humanity and our community, he engaged not only locally but also served those in need all over the world. An inspiration and mentor to medical students and graduates (and the rest of us at IMI Headquarters), he regularly helped students and their feet in their new careers and lives in different countries.
His contributions to IMI are too numerous to count, his services too profound to measure and his dedication hard to emulate. He will be greatly missed by all at Imamia Medics International and remembered with pride and fondness.
Please keep him in your special prayers. May Allah grant him the highest Station in Janna in the Jawar of Ahlul Bayt AS and patience to all at home.
