On the 27th of the Holy month of Ramadan 1441 AH, ground was broken on 40 acres of prime land on Ferozepur Road in Lahore, Pakistan.

On the occasion of the SIU groundbreaking, JMT President, Esteemed Husain Najafi Sahib and IMI Founder Dr Wajih Rizvi congratulated each other in a telephone conversation and shared Duas for the project's success.

The groundbreaking was inaugurated by Prof Dr AS Chugtai. Present were other key IMI stalwarts. Dr. Ali Muqaddas, Prof Yasoob, Dr. Asad, Mr Ali Jawa, Mr Baqir Jawa, Prof Syed Hussein and Esteemed Husain Najafi sahib also participated in the ceremony.
