Al-Sadiq international University is IMI’s hallmark project. IMI has nominated Prof Dr Shabih Zaidi, DLO- RCP & RCS, FRCS, FACS, FICS, FCPS MIAHSc, as Chancellor, Dr Mulazim Hussain Bukhari, MBBS, DCP, CHPE, FCPS, PhD as Vice Chancellor and Retired AVM S Razi Nawab as Registrar and Project Director.
Stage 1 of the development will be completed by the end of 2020, and the university is set to be completed within 5-10 years with a complete hospital, emergency and diagnostic center.The four phases include a 500-bed, 7-storey general hospital, six colleges, and is set to be Pakistan's first and largest dedicated epidemiological disease control hospital providing free treatment for poor and needy patients. The complex will include transplant centers, stem cell centers, heart care center, diabetes control center, rheumatology, neonatology, and a mother and child health care center.
