he "Keep Well" programme got off to a start on 10 August 2016. We had Dua from HI Raza Haider followed by a talk on managing ageing through light Physical Exercise, Mindfulness, Yoga, Memory and Psychological Well Being Exercises and spiritual activity. A session of physiotherapy exercises on chairs was followed by yoga breathing exercises. This was followed by a group discussion on medical matters. As a means to strengthen memory the assembled group was advised to memorise sura kafiroon. Memory retention sessions will form part of the regular programme. The group was given a psychological task for next week. A rolling timetable will be supervised by key senior IMI doctors like the esteemed Dr Kadiwal, Dr Nawab Zaidi and Dr Shabih Zaidi.
We hope inshallah that this will be the beginning of an activity programme to keep middle aged people of our community fit physically, mentally and spiritually. ?We also hope that inshallah this will be the basis of the a programme of assisted living, comprising of day centre care, chaplaincy, home and respite care over the next 5 years inshallah. We also hope that this programme can be replicated across the world under the IMI brand to compliment the get well brand inshallah
