The IMI R-Endocrine Research Consortium works out of the IMI Headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey led by Dr Wajih Rizvi and his Research Coordinator, Dr Kiran Rizvi.
The philosophy of the IMI R-Endocrine Consortium is to bring the young health professionals to a platform to enhance their capabilities in clinical research, health care, education, and capacity building.
The Consortium is composed of 50 young doctors across the globe who are involved in research on COVID-19 and Endocrinology-related topics. We have divided them into fifteen groups with four to five participants in each group. The groups are working on narrative reviews, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis.
The project is in the earlier stages of making a synopsis. In August 2020, the Consortium hosted its Annual Research Guidance Seminar. The seminar was carefully crafted to enhance the basic concept and understanding of clinical research.
The group plans to move forward with their project and to connect our young researchers to expert professionals for further guidance and support, with an ultimate goal to do high-quality research for publication in prestigious medical journals.
