Donations received through that page will be used to support this year’s Arbaeen Medical Mission.
This Arbaeen, help provide free medical care, medicines, emergency support, medical equipment, and training for the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (AS).
Every year, millions of zawaar travel to Iraq for Arbaeen. Many walk long distances and face extreme heat, exhaustion, dehydration, injuries, infections, and urgent medical needs. IMI is preparing once again to serve through the 18th Annual Arbaeen Medical Mission.
This year, IMI’s fundraising goal for the 18th Annual Arbaeen Medical Mission is $100,000.
To support medicines, medical supplies, equipment, emergency care, training, and mission logistics.
IMI’s Arbaeen Medical Missions have served more than 800,000 zawaar since the mission began.
During the 17th Annual Arbaeen Medical Mission, IMI served 71,941 zawaar through medical care and support services.
Funds raised for the 18th Annual Arbaeen Medical Mission will be used for critical patient care needs and mission support.
Free medicines for pilgrims needing treatment for common, chronic, urgent, and mission-related medical conditions.
Clinical supplies for wound care, infection care, dehydration, urgent care, basic procedures, and patient support.
Equipment such as ultrasound units, EKG machines, diagnostic tools, and other clinical equipment needed for patient care.
Cartridges for urgent blood tests and critical lab results that help doctors make faster decisions in emergency situations.
Electronic medical record support and systems that improve patient documentation, mission tracking, and operational coordination.
Emergency equipment to support rapid response for critical patients and life-threatening events.
Subsidies for qualified and needed team members from low-income countries so they can serve during the mission.
Support for the most urgent needs of the mission as conditions, patient volume, and service requirements change on the ground.
During Arbaeen, many zawaar need medical help but may not have easy access to timely care. IMI’s Arbaeen Medical Mission helps fill this gap by providing free medical services close to where pilgrims are walking, resting, and gathering.
Our teams work to support common and urgent needs, including dehydration, heat-related illness, infections, wounds, blisters, burns, chronic disease concerns, cardiac symptoms, respiratory illness, dental problems, eye complaints, and other medical conditions.
The mission also helps reduce pressure on local hospitals and health services by treating many patients directly at the medical camp and supporting urgent cases when needed.
IMI’s Arbaeen Medical Mission is not only a medical camp. It is also a training and capacity-building mission.
Through this work, IMI helps provide hands-on learning, clinical mentorship, emergency response training, and practical teaching for students, volunteers, Ataba staff, and healthcare team members.
