Since 2010, IMI has been on the ground in Iraq providing necessary help for the Zawaar of Imam Hussain, serving hundreds of thousands and saving patients millions. The initial Arbaeen Medical Mission involved one medical camp in Karbala in Babul Qibla with a 9-member international team and countless translators and local volunteers. Approximately 4000 pilgrims were provided care through this initiative in the first year and, cumulatively since then we have served nearly three quarters of a million zawaar of Imam Hussain (A.S.) through the Annual Arbaeen Medical Mission.
A core part of IMI's work includes education and IMI's Annual Arbaeen Medical Mission incorporates this through engaging students as well as for the last 6 years a dedicated Annual Arbaeen Conference that provides certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, disaster medicine and sessions on a range of topics such as wound care and AI in healthcare. Your donations not only help with immediate medical needs, but in bringing sustained change, ensuring even more lives are saved in Iraq year round.
