IMI Urgent Appeal For School Buses in Kargil India

Imamia Medics international in collaboration with Al-Kisa Foundation are raising funds for an urgent appeal for busses.

Every child deserves a brighter future. We need 2 Buses to change the lives of 1700 Students in Kargil, India.

Fundraising Goal: Help IMI raise $20,000 /Bus to deliver urgent appeal to students.

School transformation program - Kargil, India

This program is a five-phased journey that partners with schools to co-construct strategic plans, deliver targeted professional development, and provide templates and resources that improves the quality of the education to international standards. In India there are currently 4 Lighthouse Schools, and 15 Engagement Schools in the Kargil region.
A lighthouse school is a strategic school under full operational and financial management by Al-Kisa (not owned). Serves as a model school in the region.Four Schools are currently under the The School Transformation Program in India. Three of those need busses urgently!

Issues currently being faced

One bus transporting students between two branches.
Students reaching late. School starting at 10:30 am instead of 9:00 am.
Students too poor to afford own transportation
Hilly terrain, unsafe to travel alone.
No public transportation in Kargil, School bus is the only option.
