On July 1 st 2016, Imamia Medics international {IMI} had its very first young health professionals iftar at the New jersey Hospital Association Conference and Event Center in Hamilton, New Jersey. The iftar hosted young men and women representing various professional health fields such as: medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physician assistants, public health and many more. Approximately fortyfive people attended, creating an open platform for future programs of young health professionals. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and was followed by introductions by all the attendees. Dr. Syed Wajih Rizvi (Founder) provided a detailed introduction of IMI to those in attendance. Following the discussion, the attendees were shown a video of the 8th international IMI conference,explaining the mission and purpose behind IMI. Fascinated by the organization, the attending audience actively participated in an open question and answer panel with Dr. Rizvi.
Moving forward, future physicians and upcoming leaders of the younger generation, Ozair Rizvi and Muhammad Raza, facilitated a discussion about leadership and volunteer opportunities. A plethora of topics such as involvement in IMI, youth intervention in the community, and enhancement of health care were talked about during the discussion period. Dr. Bazie Ali Abidi (M.B.B.S) discussed his experience with IMI's Iraq Arbaeen Medical Mission Camp, which is in coordination with the United Nation, and provided information about how to apply for the camp.
The discussion was concluded with ideas about how the upcoming health professionals can revolutionize the dynamics of medical health care and take part in the growth of IMI.
The event was followed by Salaat, which was led by Mustafa Jafri, and finally, iftar. This event proved to be a great beginning for a new era of young health professionals interested in helping the community, at a local and global level, and working with IMI. We were glad to host all the attendees and will be looking forward to building upon such a platform in the near future.
It was an excellent conference well planned, presented, and well attended. If individually traveling we may have never enjoyed the kind of reception the participants received throughout their stay in Iran.

Thank you very much for the wonderful work you do. I have seen it first hand in Karbala during the Arbaeen camps and my son was fortunate to participate in two of the missions. I have made a donation today.

If InshAllah, I secure a residency in the upcoming match, I will owe the organizers and the speakers at the seminar more than they will take credit for.
IMI has been my outlet for philanthropic work since before I entered into high school. It is through IMI that I see my efforts, here in New Jersey, manifest into something much greater around the world. IMI has helped me realize that ambition alone is not enough to change the world; in order to achieve the changes we wish to see in this world we require ambition, vision, and most importantly execution. That is why I have joined IMI, so that my ambition and vision can meet their execution.
